Previous studies have resulted in similar findings, but the latest suggests listening to music with a waltz-type rhythm to be most effective. The rhythm is the most difficult for babies to comprehend, thus strengthening their cognitive skills. Music tames the savage beast... and apparently teaches the swaddling child.
